Classroom News-May 11, 2018

We have been very busy in the classroom.  We have had several Expert Presentations.  You will find pictures at the bottom of this post.

Today, the Denver Botanic Gardens visited our classroom to teach us about using our 5 senses to explore plants.  We also got to plant a beautiful flower!  I will include pictures at the bottom of this post.

IMPORTANT DATES

Field Day:Tuesday, May 22
You are welcome to bring your child to field day.  Kindergarten goes out from 1:30-3:00.  There are always fun activities for the kids.  Be prepared to get wet!  (Several activities have water).

Last Day of School: May 24
I know this is a Thursday, but it is the last day of school.  School will start at the regular time.  At 11:00 parents are encouraged to join us for the museum tour of our Expert Presentations.  At 11:30, we will go outside for the all school picnic. Please bring a sack lunch for this picnic because the cafeteria will not be providing food.  I encourage you to come to school early so you have a place to park.  The 5th grade commencement will also be going on at this time and parking will be limited. I would rather have you here at 10:00 or 10:30 and be in the classroom while we play summer BINGO, than have you walk 1/2 a mile to get to the school.
