Classroom News: February 21, 2018
Welcome back after a week's vacation! I hope everyone is staying warm! Here are a few things to think about over the next week or so:
We had a wonderful Valentine's Party. Look at the end of this post for some of the pictures!
Book Orders
Book orders are due on Friday. You can either fill out the form and bring it to school with a check, or go online to order and use our class code. These are terrific books at great prices and they help our classroom!
Snacks
Our classroom supply of snacks is running low! As the children are growing, they feel like they need a snack during the day. If they did not bring a snack from home, they will ask me for one. At the moment, our community supply of snacks is running low. If you would like to help us and contribute to that, it would be appreciated.
Kleenex
Our classroom supply of Kleenex is running low. Sniffle season hit our kleenex supply hard! Now we need to replenish it. If you could help us with this, it would be greatly appreciated!
Play-doh
I have been giving student creative play time. One of the stations that they enjoy is a Play-doh station. We are in need of more play-doh. I would prefer Play-doh brand since it seems to last longer and hold together better. If you could help us out with this, we would definitely appreciate it!
President's Day
We spent some time today talking about President's Day and who some of our presidents have been. I asked each child to think about what they could do if they were president to make the world a better place. The responses were fantastic! They would like to plant more trees, plant more flowers, teach people to be kind, end wars, work with the military, help the homeless, and make sure everyone has a maid so we don't have to do shores. Very thoughtful responses!
Friday, February 23
Our Kindergarten class will be at school ALL DAY this Friday to make up for the holiday on Monday.
Friday, March 2
Muffins with Mom. Children are invited to bring moms to school for a muffin breakfast of from 8:00-8:50.
Wednesday, March 7
This a Late Start Day. School will start at 11:30 and we will go directly to lunch.
We will dismiss at 3:40.
March 23-April 1
This is Spring Break.
