Today the children are bringing home coin boxes.  Legacy Student Council is raising money for research into a cure for leukemia and lymphoma.  Students can ask for donations from family and friends to put in their boxes.  When the boxes are returned, we will send them to the Student Council.  Their goal is to raise $3000.  If every student brought $5 in, they could reach their goal.  You are not obligated to donate, but you have the opportunity. Please be sure to send your child to school with weather appropriate clothes.  I worry about children going outside in a sweatshirt when it is 20 degrees out.

Welcome back after a week's vacation!  I hope everyone is staying warm!  Here are a few things to think about over the next week or so: We had a wonderful Valentine's Party.  Look at the end of this post for some of the pictures! Book Orders Book orders are due on Friday.  You can either fill out the form and bring it to school with a check, or go online to order and use our class code. These are terrific books at great prices and they help our classroom! Snacks Our classroom supply of snacks is running low!  As the children are growing, they feel like they need a snack during the day.  If they did not bring a snack from home, they will ask me for one.  At the moment, our community supply of snacks is running low.  If you would like to help us and contribute to that, it would be appreciated. Kleenex Our classroom supply of Kleenex is running low.  Sniffle season hit our kleenex supply hard!  Now we need to replenish it.  ...

DO NOT EAT!  Please do not eat the gingerbread houses we sent home today.  The houses are glued together with hot glue, we used expired frosting to decorate them, and the candies we used are old candies (I don't know how old).  These are for decoration only.  The children did a terrific job on these!  Please see earlier posts for information about our Polar Express day on Friday, December 15, 2017.  This will be a fun day! Winter Break is coming!  Please check previous posts for the dates. Lost and Found Please check the school's Lost and Found if you are missing coats, hats, gloves, lunch boxes, backpacks, or anything else.  The items in Lost and Found will be donated to charity on December 15.  Colder Weather Occasionally, our weather does get cold.  Please dress your child appropriately to go outside for recess on these days.  We go out to recess every day.  It is essential that they have an appropriate jacket to w...
